HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Husband!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Brother-in-Law Makis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are the boys last year at their birthday party making a champagne toast (sans pesky breakable flutes)!
Would you believe this was the absolute very first birthday party these guys have ever had?????  They were a little nervous about Kristal and I throwing them one (and Christos is still confused as to why we say throw a party, or, better yet, throw a shower, ha!)  As they had never had a birthday party, they had no idea what to expect or what was expected of them, how it would turn out, or how they were supposed to act.  As it happened, it was a smash hit!  Everyone (about forty-something people) packed into our little home, and it was a fabulous fun time.

Starting off this year of Christos's life with his first birthday party set the stage for the the year that followed.  This past year was full of firsts for my man (many of them thanks to his first trip to Alabama.)  In celebration of Christos and his life, I thought I would recap his "Year of Firsts" in pictures!

He visited the stadium of his beloved Olympiakos football (soccer) team for the first time.
He rode a horse for the first time.

He went to a zoo for the first time.
He met his adorable, sweet, smart, loving, and perfect nephews for the first time.
He attended his first ever American (real) football game.  And it was the Auburn/ Alabama game no less!
He roller-skated for the first time.
Oh, and he fell while roller-skating for the first, fourty-first, and one-hundred-and-fourty-first time.

He cooked a meal for the first time.  (Yes, I mean this, the first time he had cooked anything in his life!!)  And it was fabulous!!!!!

He visited a large-scale-American-style home improvement store (aka "paradise") for the first time.

He swung a golf club for the first time (this was at our hunting club...also a first.)
He experienced Christmas a la Alabama/America for the first time.

And, of course, the one thing that happened this year that was certainly both his FIRST and LAST!!!!!!!!!!!
                                                   He got MARRIED!!!!

So, here's to a great year gone and another on the way!!!!  I hope this year is full of as much happiness and laughter as the last!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!
